My Health & Wellness Routine

Hi everyone!
It’s the start of a new month and I decided to share my health journey with you. January was pretty rough for me considering I was gorging myself with all the American food I was missing out on from being abroad. I let myself cheat a little, which is OK! Now they I am back in full swing, and actually in charge of my grocery list + full access to the gym and fitness classes, I figured I’d share!
I want to share the supplements I take, what I eat daily, and how I stay in shape. Beauty and skincare is also so important to me so I will be sharing my skincare routine in the near future.
Starting off with my morning routine:
Breakfast
Everyday, I start my mornings off with hot lemon water with a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar. This jumpstarts my metabolism and hydrates my body before I start drinking caffeine. While drinking this, I take my supplements. I take Trader Joe’s Organic Spirulina tablets which supports the immune system and boosts your energy!! Along with TJ’s Acidophilus and Probiotic Complex tablets. Both of these help me so much throughout the day, I cannot live without them!
Next, my favorite part of every morning is making my matcha lattes. I can’t go a day without it. (Check out my blog post on how I make them HERE) Along with my matcha latte, I eat two slices of my morning coconut almond banana spread toast! (View recipe HERE)
Lunch
Lunch has always been iffy for me due to my schedule. It really depends on the day but my usual go-to is my smoothie.
I always add about a cup of spinach
A mix of frozen berries (usually raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry)
Frozen mango
Half of banana
Chia Seeds
Vital Proteins Collegen Peptides
TJ’s coconut aloe water
BLEND!
This will usually hold me over until dinner time and I usually drink this right after a workout to rehydrate and get some protein from the Vital Protein powder. Occasionally, I’ll make or order a healthy salad from a place in Fairfield or snack on hummus and lentil chips.
Dinner
Dinner is also pretty difficult for me since I run out of ideas so often so I just end up eating the same things all week. I try to stay relatively healthy and make sure Im full enough to not have midnight cravings. A typical dinner for me is avocado toast on Ezekiel toast with hard boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, and TJ’s Everything but the Bagel Seasoning (MUST TRY) with a side of brown rice topped with Himalayan pink salt (ALWAYS) and Coconut Aminos (soy sauce alternative). If your wondering what I drink? WATER WATER WATER. It is pretty much the only liquid I drink besides my matcha lattes. Another dinner I have been loving is jackfruit sliders.
Other days Im lazy and will make SongOfStyle’s Sweet Potatoes (Linked here)
Dessert
I have a crazy sweet tooth for chocolate and MUST have it every single day (no joke). I discovered a few healthy options. Nikki’s chocolate coconut butter is EVERYTHING. I put this on everything, from my breakfast toast to berries to eating by the spoonful and it has good, clean ingredients.
My nightly guilty pleasure consists of a big bowl of strawberries and raspberries in a bowl with the chocolate coconut butter AND almond butter drizzled on top!!! So yummy and guilt free plus satisfies the sweet tooth!

As for my workout/fitness routine
I try to take as many classes, whether it be a spin class or an elliptical class, taking classes is the best way for me to workout since I like having someone telling me what I need to do.
SoulCycle is my personal favorite workout, but going to the gym at my school for an hour about 4 times a week is also fine for me! Weight loss is not so much my goal, as toning and keeping myself in shape is what I try to achieve!

XO,
Cierra
